Ceramic alumina washers are manufactured from 99.5% alumina Al2O3, which is a polycrystalline material with high hardness and strength. Alumina ceramics have exceptional wear resistance, high temperature tolerance (up to 1,500°C) and chemical stability.
High Temperature Resistance: Alumina ceramic exhibits excellent resistance to high temperatures (up to 1,500°C continuous). It can withstand extreme heat without significant deformation or loss of mechanical properties. This makes ceramic alumina washers suitable for applications in high-temperature environments, such as satellites, vacuum furnaces and within the Oil and Gas industry.
Exceptional Hardness: Alumina ceramic is known for its high hardness, ranking just below diamond on the Mohs scale.
